Concert FAQs

How and when will I get my tickets?

Upon your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to your electronic tickets, which contain one square QR code per ticket. We encourage patrons to print and bring their electronic tickets with them to the concert, although the barcode will be scannable from a smartphone.

We are no longer issuing physical tickets.

When can I take my seat?

Ticket holders may go up to the Dumbarton Concerts sanctuary to take their seats any time after 7:00 p.m. for evening performances, and 3:30 p.m. for matinee performances.

Where can I sit?

Seats in the first rows of the Dumbarton Concerts’ sanctuary are reserved for members and special guests. The reserved area is variable for each concert depending on the number of members in attendance. All other seats in the sanctuary are General Admission.

Is your venue wheelchair accessible?

Our venue is fully ADA accessible. There is a ramp to the front doors of the building and an elevator going up to the sanctuary where the concerts are held. Please contact us in advance to notify us if you require accommodations, and/or would like a member of staff to escort you to your seat.

Virtual Concert FAQ

How can I watch the concerts?

Purchase your livestream tickets just as you would if you were attending in person (only one livestream ticket per household is necessary). Three days prior to each concert, you will receive an email with “Reminder and Virtual Tickets” in the subject line that will contain a link to view the livestream.

The concerts will be streamed via Vimeo, which is a video viewing platform similar to YouTube. You can view the concerts on any device hooked up to the internet, though Vimeo is not currently available via Roku.

How long will the video be available?

The video will be available for 48 hours following the live performance.

When will I receive the livestream link?

If you have purchased your tickets more than a week in advance of the concert, you will receive an email with the link and password for the concert stream three days prior to the program date.

If you purchase your tickets in the 2 days leading up to the concert, you will receive two emails simultaneously: your purchase confirmation and your livestream information.

If you have not received an email from us by the day of the concert, please email us at office@dumbartonconcerts.org, and we will pass along the details as quickly as possible.

Do I need to push “Play” or will the video start automatically?

Our virtual “doors” will open 30 minutes before the concert stream begins. Click on the link provided via email, and the video will appear automatically. If the video does not appear automatically, please contact us.

When watching the livestream of the concert, you will not need to push “play” - the concert will start automatically. Enjoy!

If you are watching the concert during the 48-hour period following the livestream, you will need to push “play” to start the concert.

Note: when you watch the concert after the original date, you are watching a recorded version of the livestream. This means that there may be approximately 30 minutes at the beginning of the video when all you can see is a frozen intro screen without sound. We suggest that you fast-forward in the video to the beginning of the concert.

Help! the link you emailed me isn’t working!

Some email software disables and even changes links that are sent in an email from an unrecognized source. If the link in your email is not opening, try copying it and pasting it into your browser. If that doesn’t work, you may need to type in the exact URL into your browser.

If all else fails, contact us at office@dumbartonconcerts.org or 202-965-2000 and a member of staff will assist you as quickly as possible.

How can I ensure the best sound quality?

The quality of your viewing experience is largely dependent on your internet service provider. Please keep in mind that your internet speed can vary depending on many factors, including but not limited to: time of day, WiFi performance, other devices/ users utilizing your connection, and the strength of the signal provided by your ISP. For best results, try turning the WiFi off of all devices other than the one on which you will view the concert.
