WASHINGTON, DC:  For more than 30 years, Dumbarton Concerts has created a tradition of bringing notable artists from around the world to its stage.   Last  season, we decided to  “go local” and primarily support the wealth of exceptional artists who make their home here in the Washington, DC region.

This season, however, we return to our tradition of bringing some of the best artists from around the world to our stage. We open the season with one of your most requested ensembles, the UK’s Red Priest, performing a glorious all-Bach program in their inimitable style. The brilliant piano trio, Trio Solisti closes our 33rd season with their wondrous arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition - one that even the most seasoned symphony lover will applaud.

The world-class Brazilian Guitar Quartet joins us to perform Albeniz’s masterpiece, the lovely Iberia Suite and Berlin’s elegant Vogler String Quartet, one of the best of their generation, returns to our stage playing “…Beethoven fit for the gods.”

A highlight of the season is a program that has only been done on our stage, the pairing of the sublime J.S. Bach and Chopin Preludes played alternatively by two pianists.  Award-winning pianists Adam Neiman and Andrius Zlabys perform this unique to Dumbarton concert.

Rounding out the season are performances by local favorites including the Left Bank Concert Society with clarinetist Loren Kitt,  our perennial holiday classic – A Celtic Christmas – and  a performance of Broadway hits by Rosa Lamoreaux and Friends.
